So I find myself unable to sleep. This is not altogether surprising as big things are certainly going down in the Wallace household (it's still weird to think of myself in a "household"). While I am not really ready just yet to let the cat out of the bag, I am quite prepared to say that God has done some amazing things this week. I would also like to ponder how "won't let the cat out of the bag" ever became an accepted phrase. That is pretty weird.
Anyway, I am quite prepared to say that, as it is with most newlywed couples, it hasn't always been roses in our new marriage. In fact, marriage has been hard at certain points. Sorry if I just ruined the dreams of some freshman at bible college. Lately, we have been a little tight financially. We weren't quite eating out of dumpsters, but I'm sure you get the idea. That being said, we have gotten two checks in the mail for no other reason than "I thought you might need a gift from the Lord." Both of them. Just as we were really starting to question if God would really come through. Just as we doubted that he really would provide everything that we need, God flexes his generosity. God showed us that he really will provide.
Immediately on the heals of this show of power, it seems that we have been launched on the most difficult and challenging adventure of our short life together. An adventure that will truly test our trust in the Lord.
It seems fitting that God would say, "look how I provide for you, now go and do this much more difficult thing." Ahh....should be a lot of fun.
Fun stuff!!!!
